This is one way to create a beautiful large background image slideshow with the use of transparent PNG’s, some HTML, pretty nifty CSS and jQuery.

This script can perfectly be combined with an image preloading plugin. It show some nice ideas about how a jQuery slider can be integrated in your design under certain layout elements, like a menu, header etc. Tested and works on Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera. The slideshow use images with a width of 1500px, what is pretty impressive because the loading time is similar to a standard image jQuery slider.
