Convert date to text in excel

If you have a date in a cell, when you try to use it as it is for example in concatenation, the date gets converted to a number and does not retain the date format.

In order to retain the date format and still be used as text -- the formula that can be used is TExt(datecell, "dd-mm-yyyy")

Many times we need to perform a count based on multiple criteria.

This is very simple if you are using Excel 2007. You have standard excel function Countifs which lets you do the count based on multiple criteria. But if you are using Excel 2003 this becomes tricky as you do not have any standard function that lets you do this. However you can do it using Pivot Tables. Microsoft Excel does not have standard function available for this requirement. However there are customised functions available on the Internet. One such solution is available at Allexperts.com.

Display Numbers to Text.

You need to copy this to your regular macro module. Once you have added it to your file you can use function SpellNumbers to convert any number into words easily as you use any other function of excel.
